Welcome to melitegroup.com. This website is operated by Murugan Trading & Logistics (referred to as "we", "us", "our", or "Melite"). By visiting our site, creating an account, or purchasing products from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website.
1. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page, with a new "Last updated" date. The Terms in force at the time you place an order apply to that order.
2. Eligibility & Your Account
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract to place an order. Sign-in to your account is verified by a one-time password (OTP) sent to your mobile number. You are responsible for keeping access to your mobile number and account secure, and for all activity that takes place under your account.
3. Our Products
Melite bamboo salt is a natural, traditionally roasted food product. Because it is made by hand in small batches, colour, crystal size, texture and aroma can vary slightly from batch to batch; this is not a defect. Product photographs on this website are for illustration and may differ slightly from the product you receive. Mineral and pH values shown on the website are based on laboratory tests of specific batches; see our Certificates of Analysis.
4. Pricing & Taxes
All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). The MRP shown is inclusive of all taxes. A shipping fee of ₹79 applies to orders below ₹999; shipping is free on orders of ₹999 and above. Prices and offers may change at any time, but a change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order and refund the full amount paid.
5. Orders
An order is confirmed only after your payment is successfully received, and you will receive an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, including a confirmed order, if the product is out of stock, if there is a pricing or listing error, or if we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity. In such cases, we will refund the full amount paid to your original payment method.
6. Payments
All orders on melitegroup.com are prepaid. We accept UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and other methods offered at checkout, processed securely through our payment partner, Razorpay. Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.
We do not store your card details on our servers. If a payment fails but the amount is debited from your account, it is normally reversed automatically by your bank or the payment gateway within 5–7 business days. If it is not, please contact us with your transaction details.
7. Coupons & Offers
Unless stated otherwise, only one coupon can be used per order. Coupons and promotional offers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. We may cancel orders that misuse coupons or offers.
8. Shipping & Delivery
We ship to serviceable pin codes across India. Orders are usually dispatched within 24–48 hours, and delivery typically takes 3–5 business days. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors outside our control. If an order is returned to us undelivered because of an incorrect address, an unreachable recipient or a refused delivery, we will refund the product amount excluding shipping charges. 9. Cancellations
You may cancel an order only before it is dispatched. To cancel, contact our support team with your order number. Once the cancellation is confirmed, the full amount paid will be refunded to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.
10. Returns & Refunds
As our products are food items, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been dispatched.
The only exception is a product damaged in transit. If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damaged product and its packaging. Once verified, we will refund the amount paid for the damaged item to your original payment method within 5–7 business days, or send a replacement if you prefer. 11. Health & Use Disclaimer
Melite bamboo salt is a food product, not a medicine. Information on this website about traditional uses or mineral composition is provided for general and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Bamboo salt contains sodium: if you are on a low-sodium diet, have high blood pressure or a kidney condition, are pregnant, or are under medical care, please consult your doctor before use. Store in a cool, dry place and use as part of a balanced diet.
12. Reviews & Content You Post
Reviews and other content you submit must be honest, based on your own experience, and must not be unlawful, offensive or misleading. We may moderate, edit for length, or remove content at our discretion. By posting content, you allow us to display it on our website and in related materials.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse this website, including by attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, scraping content, placing fraudulent orders, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, icons, video clips and software, is the property of Murugan Trading & Logistics or its content suppliers and is protected by Indian and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, distribute or modify any material from this site for commercial purposes without our express written consent.
15. Bulk, Dealer & Distributor Orders
Bulk, HoReCa, dealer and distributor purchases are governed by separate written agreements, which take precedence over these Terms where they differ.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Indian law.
17. Events Beyond Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, courier or transport disruptions, or government restrictions.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
19. Grievance Officer & Contact
In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any complaint. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receipt.
